What skills will I learn?

  • To critically analyse literature and language genres.
  • To understand and use oral, written and visual language effectively in a range of contexts and for a range of audiences.
  • To research and present information effectively

How will I learn?
Students will be expected to complete reading, viewing, writing and oral tasks set by teachers. Students will also be required to complete an independent research project in a language or literature topic.

What should I already have done? (Pre-requisites)
It is recommended that students should have gained a minimum of 18 Level 1 credits in English.

Where does this lead?
To NCEA level 3 English (Option A), English (Option B) or Communication Skills 3

How is this course assessed?
