The library is open every school day from 8.30am until 3.10pm

Students and Teachers are able to come into the library to use the computers, to study or just sit and read at any stage within that time frame.

There are 12 internet accessible computers for the students to use for their school work, research and studies.

The students have access to on line encyclopaedias, such as ‘Wikipedia and ‘EPIC’ and INNZ which allows them access to databases containing thousands of international magazines, newspapers, biographies, reference materials and images.

The library has a stock of nearly 7,000 books for students and teachers to choose from. Also a wide range of reference books including Encyclopaedias, Atlases, and a variety of dictionaries including an English, Maori translation.

The Non Fiction section contains books on general topics such as famous people and places, Art, Fashion, Science, Health, History and New Zealand amongst others.

The Fiction section contains, a variety of, well known authors such as Roald Dahl, Virginia Andrews, Stephen King, John Marsden. Books range from Quick reads to the more sophisticated as well as, graphic novels and Te Reo language readers. The library tries to cover all reading levels.

Generally students are on the library database within 3 weeks of starting school and may take out books at any time after that, so a library card is not required.

Students may borrow up to three books at a time for a period of three weeks for each book. Books may be returned at any stage within this time frame.

At the end of the term this loan period may be reduced to ensure that all books are accounted for.

The library has a variety of games that the students may use during interval and lunchtime, such as Scrabble, Draughts,(checkers), Backgammon, Rugby Trivia and Cards

The New Zealand Herald is delivered on a daily basis and magazines such as New Zealand Geographic, National Geographic, Navy Today, Water and Atmosphere are available.
